Mission Statement
In corporate worship, we will gather joyfully in the worship of God to celebrate His grace in ways meaningful to young and old, using the various gifts that are present in our congregation.
Worship at Mountainview CRC is one of the main reasons we gather together as people of God every Sunday. We come to praise God's name, listen to God's Word, and worship Him by means of music, drama, and visual imagery.
We meet every Sunday at 10 am and 5 pm, as well as on special occasions such as Good Friday, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Sunday School is available for children from JK to Grade 3 during the morning service. Children ages 2 to 3 can attend Little Lambs. There is also nursery provided for babies and toddlers.
Every Sunday following the morning service, you are invited to join us for a cup of coffee and goodies in the Fellowship Hall. This is a great time to enjoy some Christian fellowship with other members of the church.
Music Ministry
With a vision for vibrant and authentic congregational song, we are exploring new ways and means of utilizing the various musical gifts within our church. Our desire is that all musicians and vocalists first have a heart for worship, followed by the ability to share their musical gifts and talents. Praise teams lead in musical praise in many of the services.
Drama Ministry
Our desire is that we might complement the preaching of the Word of God by means of creative drama, contributing to the ways that Biblical truth can be applied to our regular, everyday lives.
Audio/Visual Arts
We try to offer visual expressions of God's Word and His attributes for the enhancement of worship. A picture or visual image can speak a thousand words. The audio/visual technical support is very important. Duties include sound and lighting control, PowerPoint, and audio/DVD recording of services and events.
Worship Planning Team
This team seeks to plan and implement a collaborative approach to worship planning that is God-centered and Bible-based. There are many worship resources available for planners so that worship is meaningful and God-glorifying.
