World Renew – Disaster Response Services (DRS) are in need of more Volunteers. Due to the number of natural disasters that have occurred in the recent past, we are looking for more potential volunteer names to fill some positions that come up from time to time.  Would you consider adding your name to the volunteer bank list?  These positions could be for Canadian or US locations as the need arises.   Here are some of the opportunities to consider:

OSM: On Site Manager.  This is usually a couple who supervises the logistics of housing and managing the volunteers at a reconstruction site.

CS: Construction Supervisor.  This person has some construction experience and supervises the actual work site.  They are responsible for ensuring the proper tools are on site, the materials for the day’s work have been ordered, and the scheduling of volunteers.

PM: Project Manager.  This person or couple is involved with the local LTRC (Long Term Recovery Committee), selecting a housing location and reviewing the amount of reconstruction.   They have the overall supervision of the project.

RM: Regional Managers.  They are responsible for a certain geographic area and checking out if DRS needs/could be involved in a disaster.

Please consider if you have any of these skills available to share for a short term or longer term to fill the potential needs of any of the above positions.   Contact one of the Deacons at Mountainview if you would like to add your name to the list of World Renew DRS volunteers.
