MOUNTAINVIEW NEWS

PICTURE DIRECTORY: We are printing in-house an insert to update last years Picture Directory. The insert will include new member pictures and updated families. If you missed the last directory and would like to be included, please contact Alice at aposthumus@mountainviewcrc.org or 905-945-0004 x 228; by July 2nd.

GREETING: A warm smile, a shake of the hand, a pat on the back, a quick hug, all make you feel welcomed. Whether church family or guests, we want to make sure that all those coming to Mountainview each Sunday feel at home. Greeting is an important part of that. We are updating the Greeters List for July – December 2018. Can you take a turn to welcome family and friends in God’s house? Please let me know if you can volunteer, on a regular basis (4-5X’s a year) or maybe only once or twice. We’d be glad to have you. If you can no longer serve in this ministry, please also let me know so that I can take you off the list. Please email Karin at office@mountainview.org or call 905- 945-0004 ext. 221.

PRAYER WALL for Fruitland Special Needs Serve: Participants and mentors for Special Needs Serve total 15 people to date. Our theme is “Love God, Love the World”. They are looking forward to a great week taking place July 20th - 26th and they all stand in need of prayer. We would like to challenge 15 people/families, or small groups to lift up a SERVE member in prayer; starting now till the end of serve week; especially during the week of Serve.

You will find a Prayer Wall in our fellowship hall with cards attached to a clothespin. On the cards are the names of serve participants or mentors and space to write a Bible text, poem or encouraging note etc. You may sign your name, but it’s not  required. When you have finished writing the cards, return them to a clothespin. This year we are asking the prayer partners NOT to include gifts. Please return the cards by July 1st. Questions? Contact Gerry & Pauline Bijsma: geertbijsma@gmail.com; or 289-235-9302.

Week of Guided Prayer Book Table:  Since the book table is no longer set up in the foyer, please return books on prayer to the labelled box under the mailboxes.  Your name will be checked off the list.  If you have any questions or comments, please call Liz Meijer (905-945-9374).
