Offering Details for June 2025
June 1st A.M. – Benevolence: Your contribution to Mountainview’s Benevolent Fund provides assistance for those in need in our church family and in our local community. These include basic needs such as food, clothing, housing and schooling. A church and community of our size has many varied needs within it. Please continue to support our ministry of Benevolence.
June 8th A.M. – Shalom Manor & Gardens is a special Christian, non-profit long-term care home and retirement centre, serving seniors mostly of Dutch descent who belong to the community of Reformed faiths. Limited government funding does not allow the services our seniors require that meet our expectations and standards. Your gifts will enhance immediate resident care, programs, and debt load.
June 15th A.M. – Thrive Ministries: Nine ministries are joining to equip and encourage our congregations more than ever before. Our new name is ‘Thrive’. In coming together, we hope to provide churches with one-stop access to support resources that are fully integrated, and responsive to the changing needs of local congregations. As we make this transition, we continue to support churches in the areas of faith formation, abuse prevention, disability inclusion, racial reconciliation and diversity, pastors and church support, chaplaincy, justice, and worship. Your prayers and continued financial support are critical, whether through Ministry Shares or individual donations. To keep up to date on all of our work, subscribe to the new Thrive monthly email.
June 22nd A.M. – Indigenous Ministries Canada: Today is Indigenous Ministry Sunday. The Indigenous Ministry is made up of a national committee (Canadian Indigenous Ministry Committee), three Urban Indigenous Ministries, and a Justice and Reconciliation Mobilizer, each using their strengths to support healing and reconciliation between Indigenous peoples and non-Indigenous people in Canada. It is rooted in a recognition of our Creator’s love for all creation and in the understanding that we all have gifts to offer one another. Thank you! Your gifts are a blessing to our ministry and are a part of God’s reconciling work in our nation and beyond. Learn more about us here: crcna.org/indigenous
June 29th A.M. – World Renew – Refugee Sunday: As conflict and violence continue to drive people out of their homelands in search of safety and a new beginning, families are facing increasing challenges, and many grow hopeless as they struggle to find safe shelter and a sense of normalcy. Refugees who settle in Canada often speak of the pure joy they find in knowing that they are safe. They bring with them their determination and resilience and become valuable members of their new communities. Today is Refugee Sunday. Through your gift to support the World Renew Refugee Sponsorship and Resettlement Program, you can help change the story of hardship and heartbreak to one of joy and belonging for refugees. To donate, call 1-888-WRLD-RNW or go online to: worldrenew.ca/refugees
