Do you or does someone you know have a room or an apartment for rent in the Niagara region? With the growing student population at Brock University, students are having a very difficult time getting into on-campus housing. As a result, two out of town CRC Brock students are in desperate need of a Christian home or an apartment with other Christian students in the Niagara region. If you have any information or might be able to point me toward a contact who does - please contact Zack DeBruyne. Emailzdebruyne@brocku.caCell: 905-321-8296.

Dear friends, I am thrilled to invite you to join us in Cambodia from Oct. 31 – Nov. 11, 2019. I have spent 6 years in Cambodia as the Country Consultant, where I have been moved by the way the lives of people in poor rural communities have been changed through the work of our staff and partners, and impressed as I see the strength and resilience of the people. For three years now I have led groups from North America on what has been described as a ‘spiritual pilgrimage’ to learn about Cambodian history and culture, develop meaningful relationships, and explore the work World Renew is doing. I love to see the bonds participants on these tours develop through their shared experience. Please email globalvolunteer@worldrenew.net or call 1-888-WRLD-RNW by August 15 to secure your spot! Yours sincerely,
Kathleen Lauder

Family Faith Formation Tip - Fred Rogers said, “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’” When an ambulance or fire truck passes, cultivate compassion with your kids by praying together for the people who may be hurt or sick or in trouble and for the people who are rushing to help them. GROUNDWORK: FAITH AND DEPRESSION - Depression does not discriminate. It affects believers and unbelievers alike and can feel like an oppressive and ever-present sense of darkness. Join Groundwork as we study Psalm 88, Psalm 42, and John 16:33 to discover how scripture both reflects and speaks to the human experience of depression. Listen now at GroundworkOnline.com and subscribe to Groundwork's weekly emails for future episodes.

We are pleased to send the August 2019 issue of our monthly Newsletter. We value your participation alongside our extended community in praying the weekly petitions. Thank you for joining us in prayer for the ICS and its work: http://news.icscanada.edu/search/label/prayer.
