A reminder to anyone using the building: Please WRITE YOUR NAME ON THE WHITE BOARD when you enter and REMOVE IT when you leave. All Groups should have a person assigned to sign in and out and lock up. Please don’t assume that the pair left talking in the church can lock up because not everyone can. When locking up, if no other names are on the board, and you are certain no one else is in the building, make sure the doors are locked the alarm is set before you leave.

The Gleaners are looking for new Mountainview volunteers. Frank Ritskes has faithfully served as the church’s liaison and volunteer with the Niagara Gleaners. He is needing to step down and is looking for someone to take his place attending quarterly meetings, distributing materials to Mountainview and pitching in as needed on site.

Also, their cooler is full of product at the moment and more product is in the works.  Have you got even just one morning (8:30 – 12:00) available this week or every week? Let’s Do Lunch… Lenten Style! The churches of the Grimsby Ministerial (Lakemount, Mountainview, St. Andrew’s, St John’s, St. Joseph’s and Trinity United) invite you to join us for our 2019 Lenten Lunch series, every Thursday from March 7 through April 11. This year the theme is “Building Christ’s Kingdom, Not Our Empires.” Although we have different traditions, structures and emphases in our denominations, we are all called by the same Christ to serve and build up his kingdom. Please join us at St. John’s Presbyterian Church (10 Mountain St. in Grimsby) for a brief time of worship and delicious lunch. Services begin at 12 Noon. Each week a different congregation from Grimsby will feed your spirit and stomach. All are welcome!!

Pray for Inspire 2019 - Inspire 2019 is a conference to connect people from across the 1000+ churches in the Christian Reformed Church for three days of worship, workshops, speakers, and conversation. Please join us in praying for the event and all who will attend. This week, please pray for keynote speaker Mary Hulst. Pray that God will give her what she needs to share his message and speak inspiration, challenge, and encouragement to those gathered at Inspire 2019. Pray also for the interactions she will have with people at the event.


Celebrate Recovery is being held weekly on Wednesdays at 7pm at Forrestview Community Church. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ centered 12 step program. For those who are ready to embark on a journey of real and lasting change; it is a safe place to overcome our hurts, hang-ups or habits.

Christian Education Week at Niagara Association for Christian Education (NACE). John Knox Christian School celebrates Christian Education Week from April 8-April 14 with the following events:

  • We will be welcoming our pastors on Wednesday, April 10th, starting at 9 am

  • Parents and friends, as well as those curious about Christian education, are welcome to see our school in action during our Open House on Wednesday, April 10th from 2:30-3:15 pm

  • We will be presenting our spring program “The Born Again Identity” in the JKCS school gym on Thursday, April 11th at 7 pm This fun event will feature all our students acting and singing as they present the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ alone. Admission is free; a freewill offering will be collected to defer the cost of production and for the NACE bursary.

  • Grandparents/Senior Friends Day is set for Friday, April 12th. Seniors are welcome to join us for “The Born Again Identity” at 9 am, classroom visits from 10-10:30 and 11-12, refreshments from 10:40-11 and a light lunch from 12-12:30.
