World Renew's Gift Catalog UZIMA is here! If you haven't received a copy, check the welcome table or visit Uzima is a Swahili word that means “full of life.” By choosing an item from World Renew's Gift Catalog, you can offer UZIMA — abundant life — to someone who is hungry, poor, and oppressed. You create an opportunity for God to turn everyday events into miracles like enough food, fruitful work, good health, and community service. Mountainview’s Giving Tree campaign is here to encourage you to give. During the Advent season find the Christmas tree decorated with items from the Gift Catalog as you enter the sanctuary. Take one or more and bring it along with your donation to put in to offering on Christmas Day! Our goal is to raise $3,000 through the Giving Tree campaign. Let's help others experience UZIMA!

Brock Campus Chaplaincy Announcement: "On behalf of the Classis Niagara, the Brock Chaplaincy Committee, and the two champion churches, Jubilee Fellowship and Trinity CRC, we are excited to share the good news that Zack DeBruyne has accepted the offer to serve as the next Brock University Chaplain. The committee received ten applications from very capable individuals. They interviewed six candidates via Skype and four of them a second time in person.
Although it was not an easy task for the committee, Zack came out as the strongest candidate each time. Some notable strengths are his creativity, strong sense of calling, relational nature, and his passion for reaching people who are searching for meaning and purpose in their life. Zack is also a Brock alumni and was mentored by the current chaplain, Andre Basson, for two years while at Brock. Zack is currently completing his M.Div. studies at Calvin Theological Seminary. He will complete his final semester via the distance studies program. Lord willing, he will graduate in May and be declared eligible for call by Synod 2019. Zack will be working part-time from January - June at Brock while he completes his studies.
The Brock Campus Committee's recommendation to offer this position to Zack de Bruyne was approved by Trinity & Jubilee Fellowship's Councils and by the Classis Ministry Council.
We give thanks to God for his leading and guidance in the search for a new Brock Campus chaplain. We pray for Zack and his wife, Malorie, as they move back to Niagara and begin this important ministry, and we give thanks to Andre Basson who served so capably for many years and who has graciously filled in the gap these last few months. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!"
