COMMUNITY HYMN SING: “A New Thing” Join us June 10th at 7pm for an evening of praise and worship. We will give expression to our faith in song, in the words of many favourite hymns, interwoven with readings. As we sing out our faith together we will be accompanied by Ernie Termorshuizen on organ. Week of Guided Prayer Book Borrowing Table, Information Table: The book borrowing table with books on prayer will remain in the foyer for the next few weeks. After that, please return books to the labelled box under the mailboxes. Remember to sign out any books you borrow in the folder provided. The sheets with daily readings and meditations will be on the WOGP information table for today, June 3, only. Please help yourselves to the materials available there.
GREETING: A warm smile, a shake of the hand, a pat on the back, a quick hug, all make you feel welcomed. Whether church family or guests, we want to make sure that all those coming to Mountainview each Sunday feel at home. Greeting is an important part of that. Summer is upon us and Mountainview church volleyball is moving outdoors! Due to a popular vote for Monday night, our regular Tuesday is changing nights to Mondays at 7pm at Nelles beach in Grimsby. Join us this fall for Cluster Groups!! Cluster groups are short-term small groups designed to “Grow Community” in a NEW way! Our goal is for young, old and those in between, to get to know one another. These groups will meet for 7 sessions starting September 30 through to December 16. (roughly every other week). The first and last sessions will be at the church. Your group will decide together when & where to meet for the 5 sessions in between; likely at the homes of group members.
The Cluster Groups will be inter-generational. Anyone who signs up will be randomly placed in a small group. Sessions will include food, fellowship and growth! We will meet around a table, enjoy food and conversation, watch an Alpha video, followed by a discussion and prayer. A team of twenty-five small group leaders, are eagerly waiting to meet you! Everyone age 14 - 99 is invited to join. It is our goal that ALL Mountainview members and other interested people will participate and get to know each other!

Counters needed: Mountainview CRC has two committees which count and record donations collected each Sunday including those received via the offerings taken at Shalom Manor. FA$T needs several volunteers to fill upcoming vacancies. One committee meets every other Monday morning while the other meets every other Monday evening. If you are interested in serving Mountainview in this way, please contact Peter Westerterp or Will Klein.

Youth Yard Sale - The youth are busy collecting donations for our yard sale on July 7th. If you would like to donate; items being donated can be dropped off in the youth room or cadet portable during the day, when doors can be unlocked. Pray for Synod 2018 - Please pray for the delegates, staff, and deliberations at Synod 2018. From Thursday, June 7—Thursday, June 14, approximately 600 delegates and staff of the CRC and the RCA will be gathered at Calvin College to partner for global impact for the Glory of God. 1. Summer RAYS is a weekly multi-sports and activities camp hosted by Redeemer University College in July and August for kids ages 5 - 13. Each week emphasizes participation, cooperation, skill development and most of all fun! Learn more and register at redeemerroyals.ca/rays.
2. Drop-in on Friday, June 8 to come and experience Redeemer for yourself! Shalom Outbreak – Visitor restrictions are in effect in the Lakeview (Manor-fourth floor) home area due to an upper respiratory outbreak. All visiting an isolated resident must wear the gown, mask and gloves provided. If you are unwell, we ask that you not visit. If you visit a resident on Lakeview, we request you make no other visits before leaving. Don’t forget to hand sanitize/wash when entering & exiting the building during your visit – handwashing is one of our best defenses against spreading illness. Thank you for working with us to get and keep our residents safe and healthy!
Grimsby Life Centre 2018 LIFE CHANGE CAMPAIGN--None of us are exempt from issues surfacing in life that are beyond our control or ability to process. And, there is hope in the admission that we could all use a little help and support from time to time. The Life Centres have 9 full and part-time counsellors who are schooled and experienced in bridging that gap with you. Your financial support with the Life Change Campaign is critical to our ministry. Without your generosity, our doors simply would not be open.

Strawberry Social - We are thankful and humbled in our Lord’s provision to the Niagara Christian Gleaners in the past year! Last June we shared our plans and dreams with our many guests. Now the building for Niagara Christian Gleaners is being erected in Smithville and a fall 2018 opening is a realistic possibility! Please join us on June 23 from 2 to 5 pm at 1353 Balfour St. Fenwick for strawberries and ice cream, fellowship, games, hay rides, face painting, and a classic car show. The kids will enjoy a chance to sit in a variety of big trucks! All ages can join in the fun of learning how to square dance. You will be updated on the building project and learn how you can help when we, DV, begin production. One hour of your donated time can produce up to 140 soup meals for a hungry person! We hope to engage all ages, teenagers to seniors; volunteering in bringing a meal to those who are hungry. This is a FREE family event. Your donations to Niagara Christian Gleaners will be tax receipted as per CRA guidelines.

Rose City kids is a place where children and youth belong; where they experience the love of Jesus and are encouraged and inspired to make a positive change in the world. Rose City Kids currently has 500 children registered and 120 volunteers. We have a variety of programs that run throughout the week. Rose City Kids deals with many children that are searching for someone that will value, love and invest in them. Many come from dark places and are angry and hurting. They need people like you to invest in them. If you are interested, but don't feel you want to work directly with kids, we have so many more opportunities.
