MOUNTAINVIEW NEWS
We celebrate communion not only remembering that Jesus died, but also anticipating his return. Revelation 19:6-9 refers to the wedding feast of the lamb when there will be a great and complete celebration of God's restoration of our world.
Join us at 10 am Sunday morning via live-stream or in-person, or at any time throughout the week. This week Pastor Erick continues our Lent series with a message entitled "Until He comes" He will be focusing on book of Revelation chapter 19 verses 6-9. We will also have the opportunity to celebrate our Friendship Ministry in this service.
LET’S BUILD SOME COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS!
God’s Big Easter Story - Please join us This Sunday April 2nd from 2-4 pm on ... A HOLY WEEK JOURNEY FOR FAMILIES. This interactive experience provides children with a simple, meaningful way to grow in faith as together you remember the events leading up to Jesus’ death and celebrate Jesus’ resurrection. Adults are also welcome!
Sign-up online HERE (Or from our “Events” page). We estimate this activity/journey will take 45 minutes - 1 hour to travel through 8 stations. 40 ppl are being booked for each half hour (3 half hour time slots available). Groups of up to 12 people will attend stations at one time. We hope that the schedule and number of people will allow groups to flow smoothly with the station activities so that waiting is minimized. HOWEVER, please do expect some waiting to be part of this experience. We are learning as we go this year and we thank you for your patience.
Easter Friends for Dinner; hosts needed, registration is open! On special holidays - all International Students’ Canadian classmates go home to celebrate with their families and they are left alone. Many are lonely and curious, what is Easter all about? That's where Friends for Dinner comes in! We are inviting Canadian Christian families to open their hearts and homes, to a few International Students, for a meal sometime during the Easter weekend. Here are a few quotes from families and students who have been part of Friends for Dinner:
"We had such a good time interacting with International Students over Christmas; we will for sure do it again!"
"We really appreciate the kindness of our lovely host family to share love and hope by hosting newcomers like us. Everything was perfect!"
71.4% of the students will stay in touch with their host families, and 85.7% of the students would recommend Friends for Dinner to their friends. (Canadian- wide statistic) If you are interested in hosting, please sign up here: https://friendsfordinner.ca/hosts/hosts-stcatherines/
