Join us Sunday morning at 10 am or any time throughout the week. This Sunday Pastor Erick Schuringa will present a message entitled “Act, Love, Walk”. He will be looking at the book of Micah, chapter 6, verses 1-8.
We celebrate GEMS ministry by considering their theme: Act, Love, Walk. Micah 6:8 is the conclusion of having stood in the presence of God and wondered how best to respond and live.
LET’S BUILD SOME COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS!

Help End the Injustices that Prevent Women from Flourishing - In two weeks, churches across Canada will celebrate the amazing women in our lives who help our families and communities flourish. Around the world, women and girls are often denied basic rights. Many are not allowed to attend school or pursue employment. Others are subjected to early childhood marriage or to mental or physical abuse. World Renew asks you to join us in supporting vulnerable women by donating gifts to Women of Hope: worldrenew.ca/womenofhope
You are making a difference! On behalf of the ministries of the Christian Reformed Church in North America, thank you for your gifts to ministry shares. Your support enables congregations to do so much more to further God's Kingdom than any one church could do alone. Our denomination could not impact the world through missions, media, and church development without your incredible and faithful support. Thank you! To discover more visit crcna.org/ministryshares.
Dear Friends at Mountainview CRC, There’s no place like home. Every day, we see the positive impact of a permanent supportive home – a safe and welcoming place that people can truly afford on a limited fixed income. For people who have been on the street, institutionalized, couch-surfing and moving in and out of shelters, this is such a gift! As Lori says, “Since being at Indwell, I know what home is. I have a new way of life – one I can be proud of. I have friends and lots of good people [around me] making good choices.”
With your support, Indwell is able to help tenants' problem-solve, monitor their health, assist them in accessing external health and social service supports, encourage social activities, and connect them with volunteer opportunities. In our programs with enhanced levels of support, tenants also receive mental health and nursing supports, addiction counselling, and nutritious meals on a cost recovery basis. Thank you to your congregation for supporting opportunities for life transformation, nurturing hope that supports a person’s journey towards health and belonging, and being a part of our community of care! Groundwork: Believe: Jesus and the Disciples - Studying Jesus’ first appearance to his disciples and later his appearance to Thomas offers us encouragement for our faith even when believing in Jesus isn’t easy. Join our Groundwork conversation as we study John 20:19-31 to learn why belief in Jesus is a lifestyle, not a one time event, and why Jesus’ promises to his disciples give us hope yet today. Listen now at Groundworkonline.com and subscribe to Groundwork's weekly emails for future episodes.
Kids Corner: Never Alone, God's Promise To Us -Check out this week’s kids’ devotion at kidscorner.net. Do you ever feel alone, even in a group of people? You may feel lonely, but God promised that he is with us. He promised to make us strong and be with us (Isaiah 41:10). He is a promise-keeper! Check out all the great content at kidscorner.net like the Bible story podcast “The Woman at the Well".
"Confessional Status"?: A Church Polity Discussion On May 4, 7:30 PM, Meadowlands Fellowship CRC in Ancaster will be hosting Emeritus Professor of Church Polity, Dr. Henry DeMoor who will be addressing the recent synodical decision regarding confessional status and its relation to same-sex marriage in the church. Introductory remarks will be as brief as possible so that we have more time for Q&A. These remarks will try to place issues we are dealing with regarding same-sex marriage in a broader perspective – first, with respect to the unity of the church of Christ and, second, with respect to the history of these issues in the history of the CRC in North America. The latter will include an update on happenings in Classis GR East. After that, the speaker will focus on how the Synod of 2022 dealt with the report of its Study Committee (HSR) and what’s now “new” in our circles. This is not just a discussion of “unchastity” but also the church political consequences of giving synod’s interpretation of that word “confessional status.” We will then discuss how and where these decisions are currently relevant, where they raise concerns, and then, hopefully, the Q&A session will address and clarify our further concerns. This event will be livestreamed at meadowlandsfellowship.com.
