Mountainview Prayer Ministry - Sunday Morning Prayer Room: Every Sunday Morning for 20 minutes before our service begins and after our Service the Prayer room is open for anyone who desires prayer. Each Sunday morning two members are committed to praying for the service and with those who come in. We are inviting more members to join us. If you feel God is placing it on your heart to serve Him in this way, or if you would like more information, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call Nancy at 905-945-1872.
GREETING: A warm smile, shake of the hand, pat on the back, quick hug, all make you feel welcomed. Whether church family or guests, we want to make sure that all those coming to Mountainview each Sunday feel at home. Greeting is an important part of that. We are creating the Greeter’s schedule for July - December 2019. Can you take a turn to welcome family and friends in God’s house? Please let me know if you can volunteer, on a regular basis, 4 times per year, or maybe only once or twice. We’d be glad to have you! If you can no longer serve in this ministry, please also let me know so that I can take you off the list. Email Karin at email@example.com or call 905-945-0004 ext. 221.

Mountainview Library has some more new books and would like to highlight them over the next few weeks. A full list of new spring books has been placed in each mail slot and is available at the Welcome Centre. This week we highlight books on Seeking and Finding God:
Making Sense of God byTimothy Keller
In this revelatory and thought-provoking book, pastor and New York Times bestselling author Timothy Keller invites those skeptical of faith and religion in general to consider a Christian God that still makes sense. What if Christianity provided us with unsurpassed resources to answer questions regarding fulfillment, personal freedom, justice, and hope?
Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus by Nabeel Qureshi
In his book, Nabeel Qureshi describes his dramatic journey from Islam to Christianity, complete with friendships, investigations, and supernatural dreams along the way. Engaging and thought-provoking, this book tells a powerful story of the clash between Islam and Christianity in one man’s heart – and of the peace he eventually found in Jesus.
The Rock, the Road, and the Rabbi by Kathie Lee Gifford
In this book you will have the exciting opportunity to discover the truth of the Bible and learn what many passages in Scriptures really mean. You will experience the Rock (Jesus), the Road, (the Holy Land), and Rabbi (the Word of God) as you have never experienced them before! Come walk with Kathie on a journey through the spiritual foundations of her faith; move deeply in the roots of your faith as you together explore the land of Israel and mine the treasures of God’s Word.
