COFFEE SOCIAL & NEIGHBOURHOOD POTLUCKS: Due to the use of the gym and kitchen for our last Neighbourhood Potluck there will not be coffee in the fellowship hall after the morning service today. We encourage you to take this opportunity to offer one another hospitality in your home. Invite someone over for coffee. For those not part of the Potluck, who wish to socialize on site, a coffee station will be set up in the lobby.

Today is Kids Day at the Mountainview Library!! Brand new children's books and movies are available for check out for the first time.  Treats for all children who come to the library after the service today! 😊

Service of Praise & Worship, Tonight @ 7 pm. The service will feature one of Smithville Christian High School’s Student Praise Teams and will include praise & worship music with audience participation. Join us beforehand at 6:30 pm for a time of coffee and fellowship in the lobby. Special guest speaker, Peterson Waihura Wang’ombe, serving with Resonate Global Missions in Kenya, East Africa, will speak about his work with the Nairobi Transformational Network.

CELEBRATION OF THE LORD’S SUPPER: Next Sunday morning March 11th we will once again have the privilege of celebrating the Lord’s Supper. Our children will be joining us in the sanctuary for this service. This presents parents with a wonderful opportunity to discuss the meaning of the sacrament with their children at home. Then, we encourage you to bring your children forward with you next Sunday, to watch and receive a blessing or to participate; receiving bread and juice. Our next 65+ meeting will be on Thursday, March 8th. Come join us for coffee at 10. Meeting starts at 10:30. Our speaker comes from the Alzheimer society. The topic will be “The ins and outs of dementia”. Come and listen and learn. And enjoy soup and buns for lunch. Hope to see many of you there.

Wednesday March 14th middle school & youth will be going swimming @ Brock University. Be at the church for 12pm and we plan to be back by 4:30pm.  $15 for swimming and food afterwards. Please let Janice know if you are going.

An offering will be received for Church Support Ministries – Race Relations.  Church Support Ministries is mandated by synod "to design, organize, and implement programs that will assist the denomination, churches, and members in eliminating the causes and effects of racism within the body of believers and throughout the world.” Because there is a need for leaders and their congregations to have more effective ministry in the diverse communities they serve, there is also a need to have assistance in becoming culturally intelligent. The Office of Race Relations offers the resources and tools to develop this capacity.

DOORWAYS INTO OUR COMMUNITY – Sunday March 18th: The Deacons invite you all to a special time of thanksgiving and acknowledgement of the diverse opportunities there are in our community to volunteer. Get to know these organizations within our community who are the “hands and feet of Jesus”.

Joining a ministry is a great way to grow in friendship, knowledge and in your spiritual journey. This is also an opportunity for you to get up close and personal to discover if your talents and gifts can benefit these organizations. At Mountainview and in our community we have many volunteer opportunities available and encourage you to investigate these organizations.

EASTER CONCERT:  Performing Arts @ Mountainview invites you the join them for an Easter Celebration Concert featuring the Stratford Concert Choir, with Ian Sadler, Artistic Director & Conductor; Imre Oláh, Accompanist & Assistant Conductor and Catharine Sadler, Soprano. The Stratford Concert Choir is a 90+ voice community choir committed to the presentation of the best of the classical choral repertoire. The concert will take place on Saturday April 7th, 2018 @ 7:30 p.m. There will also be an opportunity for audience participation. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the McNally House Hospice. Concert will take place at Mountainview Church, 290 Main St. East in Grimsby. Tickets: $15 each, or $35 per family (w/children 15 & under.) Hope Academy Benefit Concert: Hope Academy mission school is sponsoring a Spring benefit concert, featuring members of the Redeemer University College Concert Choir under the direction of Dr. Christiaan Teeuwsen.
