We pray a Blessing on our community. Any interest? Call Jane de Visser at 905-563-7671 or e-mail pjdevisser@sympatico.ca so we can wait/ look for you. WORLD DAY OF PRAYER:  On March 1, Christians in more than 170 countries and in 1,200 communities across Canada will gather at the annual World Day of Prayer. Christian women of Slovenia are inviting the world to “Come to the table—everything is ready”. They are asking people of the world to unite in prayer and immediate action for women touched by injustice.

Women tend to be the first to experience the effects of change because they have fewer material resources and a closer relationship to their community. Each year, the experiences of women from the host country inform the prayers of Canadians.

Please join us and invite your friends and family to attend the World Day of Prayer service on Friday, March 1 at St. Andrew's Anglican Church (corner of St Andrew's Ave and Main St W) at 2 PM. (It also marks the 225th anniversary of this church where they will welcome us to their historic sanctuary.)

Refreshments will be available following the service. For more information on the WDP service, please contact Nelly Baarda or Christina Pleizier.

Mountainview Library has some new books and is taking a few weeks to highlight them. A full list of new books was also place in each mail slot and on the Welcome Centre. This week we are highlighting our newest fiction options:

Healed by Grace DVD
Jesse is approaching her 15th birthday and the only gift she desires is a horse. Her father signs her up for summer camp but when that falls through, he decides to have her stay with her estranged grandfather, an old gruff horse trainer. A humorous and inspiring story of how God’s grace works in mysterious ways.

The Ebb Tide by Beverly Lewis (Large Print)
Sallie Riehl has dreamed of traveling at least once before settling down to join church, so she is thrilled at an unexpected summer opportunity to nanny in Cape May for a well-to-do family. However, saying even a temporary good-bye to Paradise Township means forgoing baptism another year, as well leaving behind a would-be beau.

Remember by Karen Kingsbury with Gary Smalley (Large Print)
Strong-willed Ashley Baxter is trying to forget. She has locked up her heart, convinced that no one – including God – could love her. Four unlikely people – Alzheimer’s patients – find the cracks in Ashley’s heart and slowly help her remember. Then comes the nightmare of September 11.
