THEME: Grimsby Prays: Part of serving the Lord is serving the neighbourhoods. He calls us to live and work in. Each week we will look at a different segment of our community and to consider how we can pray for those people who make up our community.

Week #3 - March 1st Healthcare Providers (for physical and mental health)
Week #4 - March 8th Seniors (this service will be hosted by Mountainview)

The Youth Room is open today Third Sunday of month after the morning service for high school students to come and hang out. Come on out youth!

Mountainview Book Club: The book club will be meeting again on Sunday evening, Feb. 25, at 7pm in the church library. The discussion will focus on the novel, Orphan Train, by Christina Baker Kline.
WORLD DAY OF PRAYER: The World Day of Prayer is a global ecumenical movement led by Christian women who welcome you to join in prayer and action for peace and justice. On Friday, March 2nd, Christians around the world will gather to learn about, pray for and celebrate the Republic of Suriname located on the northeastern coast of South America (a Dutch colony until its independence in 1975). Each year the Christian Churches in the Grimsby Community prepare and participate in a World Day of Prayer service. This year, the local World Day of Prayer Ecumenical Service will be held on Friday, March 2nd at 2 pm at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Grimsby. THEME: All God’s Creation is Very Good! SPEAKER: Father Ronald Angervil. Refreshments will be served following the service. Please invite your friends and family to join us in praying with our brothers and sisters around the world.

NEIGHBOURHOOD POTLUCKS: Neighbourhoods are one way we, as a church body, can connect with fellow Christians who live near us. Each neighbourhood will be invited to attend a potluck lunch following the morning service. This is an opportunity to get to know the other members in your neighbourhood, enjoy good food and fellowship together. Our regular coffee social will still be held while preparations are underway for the luncheon! Mark your calendar to join us:

Don’t forget to hand sanitize/wash when entering & exiting the building during your visit – handwashing is one of our best defenses against spreading illness. Equipping and Encouragement Day - Saturday, March 3rd with Marion Lensink of CRCNA: The Implementation Team, along with our Discipleship Team, invites you to attend a day with Marian Lensink from CRCNA at Bethany CRC in Fenwick. We will learn:
- how to create community through small groups and personal relationships
- what it looks like to engage with scripture
- how to pray with and for others
- how to become more mission oriented
All sessions will apply to both personal and small-group growth. Those in leadership positions would benefit greatly. Marian is engaging, fun and quick-paced. She will lead us through different exercises, personal reflection and practical application. Doors open @ 8:30 for coffee and we will end by 3pm. Cost is $15 payable at the door.
