Offering Schedule for September 2019

Sept. 1st A.M. – Shalom Manor & Gardens is a special Christian, non-profit long-term care home and retirement centre, serving seniors mostly of Dutch descent who belong to the community of Reformed faiths. Limited government funding does not allow the services our seniors require that meet our expectations and standards. Your gifts will enhance immediate resident care, programs, and debt load.

P.M. – Labour Day WE

Sept. 8th A.M. – Benevolence: Your contribution to Mountainview’s Benevolence Fund provides assistance for the needs of our church family and the local community. These include basic needs such as food, clothing, housing and schooling. A church and community of our size has many varied needs within it. Please continue to support our ministry of benevolence.

P.M.– Back to God Ministries International is the media ministry of the CRCNA. It proclaims the gospel of Jesus Christ through indigenous teams in people’s “heart languages” using the web, radio, television, phone, print, and other media. It opens doors for salvation and discipleship, broadcasting the gospel in otherwise closed regions.  BTGMI aired its first radio program in 1939. Today, we are reaching people in almost 200 countries and 10 major languages: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.

Sept. 15th A.M. – Resonate Global Mission is continuing their partnership with churches in the Canada and the United States to plant churches, do campus ministry, train and equip pastors, and develop future leaders. They will also continue to send missionaries overseas, proclaiming the Gospel, and forging lasting partnerships. In addition to this ongoing work, they are tackling new opportunities for ministry. Here in North America, we need experience in international ministry to help churches effectively reach across cultural barriers and forge partnerships within new communities of faith. In other nations, we need expertise in church planting and campus ministry to help people in every nation discover God’s plan for their church, community, and life. With your prayers and financial support, we will be able to equip all our churches for ministry and join together with what God is already doing around the world.

P.M. – Rose Cottage Visiting Volunteers:  For the past 25 yrs. Rose Cottage Visiting Volunteers has served the communities of Grimsby, Beamsville, Smithville and Vineland by providing support families who are dealing with a palliative illness. Specifically to be there for the caregiver allowing them time to rest, shop, or have coffee with a friend while a trained volunteer stays with the person who is ill. The service is not age or disease specific, and there is no fee.

Sept. 22nd A.M. – CSM – Safe Church:  Safe Church Ministry equips congregations in abuse awareness, prevention, and response. We help build communities where the value of each person is honored; where people are free to worship and grow free from abuse; and where abuse has occurred, the response is compassion and justice that fosters healing.

P.M. – Ministry to Seafarers M2S Montreal is dedicated to caring for the needs of seafarers visiting the Port of Montreal. Our mission is to share Jesus' love by being an advocate for seafarers, and providing them a safe, relaxing place that they can call their home-away-from-home.  The Ministry to Seafarers (M2S) is located in the Old Port of Montreal and is an outreach mission of the Christian Reformed Church carried out by chaplains. Chaplains make on board visits on various ships and conduct chapel services at the centre. They reach out to the crews and officers of these ships bringing them the gospel (52 different Bible language versions of the “Jesus” video). This ministry reaches out to the lost and gives them hope that they bring back to their native lands.

July 29th A.M. – CRCNA Synodical Administrative Services Provides funds for synodical expenses and offices, the Board of Trustees, and general administration.  It also serves the church by initiating, designing, organizing, and implementing various programs.

P.M. – Edudeo Minsitries is a Canadian, Christian, mission organization serving children in developing countries with quality education rooted in a Biblical worldview.  Our strategic approach includes accessibility for all children, teacher training, curriculum development and school construction. We promote sustainable schools by partnering long-term with school associations and mission organizations that share our vision of Evangelism + Education.
