Passage in focus:  Matthew 6:19-34

Questions

1.     When have you “stored up treasures” as opposed to simply having things?

2.     What kind of things are “treasures in heaven”?  How do you store those?

3.     What does it mean that “your heart will be” there?  What does that look like?

4.     How is the eye the light of the body?

5.     What is the difference healthy and unhealthy eyes? Does your Bible have a footnote on these words?  Does that help?

6.     What masters do people try to serve simultaneously?  Why doesn’t that work?

7.     How does worry come about?  Do you plan to worry or try to worry?

8.     When do you worry about food?  How about clothes?

9.     What happens if you make like a bird with respect to food?

10.    Does worrying help?

11.     How do birds get dressed?  Does this help you?

12.    How are we like grass? How different?

13.    What tone do you hear in the words “you of little faith”?

14.    Who are the pagans?

15.    What are Jesus kingdom and his righteousness?  How do you seek them?

16.    And how much is the “all” that is given to you as well?

17.     Does verse 34 change the nature of what is said about worry?
