When we say "deep hope" what kind of depth do we mean? Is this the deep end of the swimming pool or the depths of the Mariana Trench? What kind of depths would God's ancient people have imagined in biblical times, having never experienced a swimming pool and having no submarines to explore the depths of the ocean?
