Offering Prayers
With sadness we share that Freda Prins' father, Hendrik (Hank) Postma, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 31, at the age of 93, and went to be with his Lord. Our condolences to Freda & John, to Hank's other children, to his grandchildren/great-grandchildren (at Mountainview this includes Linsdy & Will Visser (Chloe, Levi), and Chris & Jen Prins (Holly, Abigail), and to his extended family as they mourn the loss of a much-loved Father, Opa, Grandpa, Sibling and Uncle. May they know and experience God's presence, peace, comfort and hope in the weeks ahead. Visitation will take place at Covenant CRC, St Catharines, on Friday June 5 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A celebration of life will be held at Covenant CRC on Saturday, June 6, at 11 am. Details are in the obituary linked here.
Kit Rustenburg has returned home. We pray for continued healing, strength, and patience as she recovers and continues to seek information.
Annie Boekestyn was admitted to WLMH last Sunday with concerning symptoms. Prayers for healing, strength, patience and answers as investigations continue, and peace through it all for Annie and her family.
Please join us in holding up in prayer those who manage daily burdens of one kind or another (chronic or acute illness, grief, mental health, loneliness, loss of abilities). We think specifically this week of: Anna Geuze, Theresa Jongerden, Trudy Hofland, Anna De Bruyne (Jr.), Anne Fisher, Ernie & Yetty Termorshuizen, Bill Vermeer, Willy VanderHorst, and Klaas & Nellie Brobbel. May God give them each what they stand in need of. May God give wisdom and strength to those who walk alongside them. We also pray for those who are dealing with issues of which we are not aware.
Giving Thanks
This week, we express our deep gratitude for Pastor Brady & Shannon. We send them with our blessings as they answer God's call to foster faith in a new congregation (DV), together with their children, Esther, Aleida, and Madelyn. Over the past four years, Pastor Brady has been a valuable part of our Staff Team. Together, he and Shannon have shared their beautiful gifts in Worship by preaching and leading. Pastor Brady has also guided our Youth, Young Adults, and their leaders. We pray that their young family will be blessed as richly as they have blessed Mountainview!
