MOUNTAINVIEW NEWS
Join us Sunday morning at 10 am in person or online. Pastor Erick Schuringa begins a new series based on the sermon the mount with a message entitled “Blessed are those …who?”” He will begin in Matthew chapter 5 verses 1-16.
As we begin our tour of the sermon on the mount, we are called to wonder "who is blessed?" Jesus came preaching a new kind of kingdom and it starts by understanding how and with whom God works.
This Sunday we will also be participating in the sacrament of the Lord's Supper.

September 28th A.M. – Karis Disability Services (formerly Christian Horizons): Our new name builds on the principles that have always guided us. Karis conveys God’s grace and the gift of God’s radically accessible goodness in Christ. Our values (Valuing people, Fostering belonging, Serving others, Celebrating gifts) come from our belief that every person is loved by God and created in His image. When you are included, when you belong, and when you get to share your gifts and make a difference in your own life and others’ lives, you can thrive with purpose. We operate in Ontario and Saskatchewan, serving over 70 communities. Our programs include shared and independent living services, accessible family camps, advocacy, training, and respite. Globally we partner in Ethiopia, Guatemala, Haiti, Kenya, Nicaragua, and Uganda. People with disabilities, across the globe, are disproportionately impacted by poverty and lack of access to education. They need your support to thrive.
Dear Friends at Mountainview, Thank you so much for your recent gift. We appreciate your support! Your generous donation helps us to achieve our vision, affirming that people with disabilities belong to communities in which their God-given gifts are valued and celebrated. We believe that everyone has unique contributions to make, and our communities are enriched when everyone has the opportunity to participate. Your donation makes a significant impact on the lives of those who use Kari's services in Canada and globally. Together, we are building a brighter future where inclusiveness and belonging are at the forefront., Again, thank you for being a part of our mission!
Mountainview CRC, Thank-you for blessing Niagara Christian Gleaners, your ongoing support is appreciated. It helps us to curb food waste, build community, and bless hungry, hurting people worldwide in Christ’s name. We couldn’t do it without you!
Through the Spirit of God in each believer, Bible League Canada’s partners, and faithfully supported by you, we are able to minister through one-to-one evangelism in Adult ministry, Children’s Ministry, Starting New Churches and serving the Persecuted Church. The Bible is at the heart of all our work and your support meant 4,485,728 Bibles, New Testaments and Scripture portions were placed in the hands of those hungering for God’s Word. Thank you for being part of this Kingdom work. You are unwavering in your support to proclaim the life-changing Word of God to all peoples.

Thrive Faith Formation Tip - What do you think of when you hear the word “peace”? Let’s try this: Think of a person that you wouldn’t want to spend time with, and now try to think about them as an imagebearer of God rather than simply as someone who hurt you, is different from you, or whose perspective is different from yours. Pray for that person this week, and commit to sending them an encouraging message (see Rom. 12:14–21). This habit reflects the heart of God and makes you a peacemaker!
