May 24th – DIG: Dream, Invest Grow aims to end the cycle of poverty and malnutrition in rural Guatemala through community empowerment. DIG’s humanitarian volunteers work on sustainable projects that build long-term dignity and hope within these communities by offering a hand up instead of a hand-out. With a focus on community well-being, DIG provides education opportunities for Mayan youth, medical services for families, spiritual support, and sustainable agriculture and nutrition systems for entire towns. DIG works alongside Mayan community members at the ground level to determine long-term solutions. Through DIG’s purposeful travel and mission trip programs, volunteers can create unforgettable personal experiences while making a long-term impact on these communities.
Grimsby Life Centre invites you to participate in Hope Grows Here. This campaign is about planting seeds of hope by supporting counselling and care for individuals and families who are walking through difficult seasons. Each gift helps provide steady, compassionate support and reminds people that they are not alone. “I planted the seed… but God has been making it grow.” — 1 Corinthians 3:6 To participate you can give online through www.grimsbylife.org or send an e-transfer to office@grimsbylife.org. Please include a short message of hope in the message line that we can share with our clients! Thank you for being part of the work God is doing in our community!

As you recognize Mental Health Awareness Month, try using breath prayers as a way to slow down and focus your mind on God. Choose a prayer from the options below, then breathe in and out, repeating the phrases as you breathe. As you breathe in silently, pray: “Not my will.” As you breathe out, pray: “Your will be done.” Breathe in: “I am not alone.” Breathe out: “You are here.” Breathe in: “You are the potter.” Breathe out: “I am the clay” Brought to you by Thrive: crcna.org/Thrive
