Join us for Sunday morning at 10 am in person or online. Pastor Erick Schuringa will present a message entitled “Worship Service”. He will be looking at the book of Mark chapter 10 verses 42-45.

Jesus' followers sometimes get so excited about how amazingly powerful Jesus is, that we forget that Jesus used his power to serve. His example is our guide.

Upcoming Offering:

UPCOMING OFFERING: November 8th– Mwikali Wambua – Resonate Global Mission: Mwikali is a Christian Education Consultant with Resonate in Kenya and East Africa. Her ministry’s prime areas of focus are: Educational care and direction for schools and teachers, weekly Bible lessons in government schools, walking alongside vulnerable students in school and community, influence by lifestyle and fellowship, and inviting others into mission. Mwikali has been a teacher most of her life. God has shaped her heart for the whole child. Caring first and seeing each child as God’s own opens up a channel for faith formation in learning. Students are able to see that Jesus matters in every subject and He becomes real in their hearts and in the life of the school. God has also given Mwikali a drive to pour back into teachers. Her vision for Christian education in Eastern Africa is to see schools, churches and parents working together to create learning environments where children follow Jesus wholeheartedly and come to curiously delight in God’s world. Her desire is to see Christian schools mirror God's kingdom of love, to see them turn into havens of shalom and vitality. You can read more about her work and it’s impact in Kenya and East Africa here. Thank you for joining God’s work through Mwikali with prayer and support.

Groundwork: Prayer and Thanksgiving - The apostle Paul instructs us to rejoice and pray with thanksgiving, but in the realities of daily life, it doesn’t always feel that easy. Join Groundwork as we study Philippians 4:4-7, 1 Chronicles 29:10-20, Exodus 15:1-2, 20-21, and Luke 1:46-55 to see why including gratitude in our prayers matters and how it benefits our relationship with God and enriches our prayer life. Check out this week’s kids’ devotion, “Jesus’ Backwards Kingdom” at www.kidscorner.net. How do we become great in God’s kingdom? Jesus taught his disciples that following him means loving and serving others with a humble heart. Being humble means using our words, talents, and possessions to lift others up. Thrive Faith Formation Tip - The Examen is a helpful daily prayer tool that Christians have used for hundreds of years to review their day in a godly way. This is a great bedtime practice for people of all ages. Try this simplified Examen this week: First, pray that God will give you insight. Then ask yourself two questions: “What was I most grateful for today?” and “What was I least grateful for today?” Close in prayer, thanking God for the blessings of the day, and asking God’s help with your shortcomings.
