Questions
1. What words or idea in the passage or sermon stuck out for you? What grabbed your attention?
2. How are you with directions? Who is someone you know that is great at directions? Who is bad at directions?
3. What is the main function of the Bible? Is it a “self-help” book?
4. Psalm 130 is labeled A Song of Ascents. What does that mean? When were these songs sung?
5. When you find yourself “in the depths” (feeling distant from God) what do you typically do? Is it easy to cry out to God for mercy? Why or why not?
6. The forgiveness of God is supposed to produce fear in Him. What does it mean to “fear” the Lord?
7. What does it mean to “wait” for the Lord? What are some ways you’ve seen God at work in the past week? Month? Year? Lifetime?
8. What are some ways you can encourage others to turn to God and wait on Him.
